Downstairs you will find a fun and colourful restaurant with menus that are big on seasonality and provenance.

Our downstairs restaurant comprises the plush Mustard Room and the funky, family-friendly Grill, right below our giant glitter ball!  Watch our talented chefs roasting top quality meat and fish over an open grill.

Upstairs our decadent vaulted Wine Room offers tapas-style small plates, cheese boards, charcuterie and more than 180 wines from all over the world.
This hedonistic retreat is for wine lovers, free thinkers and experimenters alike. Alongside the dining experience, you’ll find our bottle shop complete with a “take out” or “drink in” option. For an additional £15 corkage (per bottle), you can sit back, relax and drink any of our stunning wines at unbelievably good prices! After tucking into some delicious dishes, why not recline in our Wine Room Lounge and enjoy a tipple or two before you head home.  Exclusively an adults only space (except for Sunday lunchtimes)!

Our beautiful, heated and covered Portico has two tables for 4-6 people available to book.  Enjoy our Grill Menu next to the tranquil mill stream, surrounded by lush greenery overlooking the picturesque Abbey Gardens.

Inn the Park is a multi-floored restaurant, wine bar and gallery in an old mill in the heart of Abbey Gardens. Everything feels just right, from the contemporary decor (turquoise leather banquettes and Timorous Beasties upholstery), to the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs grill great slabs of meat or whole fish. The giant pink glitter ball is an indication of the owners’ playful attitude.

*All areas are for dining except the bar. To secure your reservation we require your credit or debit card details. A charge of £10 per person will only incur in the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours notice) or non-arrival (we do save one or two tables for walk-ins on each floor).

Weddings at Inn the Park – FAQs

We can cater for any size group from 2 up to 100 seated or up to 140 for a standing reception.

We offer a multi-layered space with a variety of options and you can use any of our spaces for your wedding, depending on what works best with your numbers.  Please chat through the options with our team when making your enquiry.

If you decide to book all of our spaces exclusively for your wedding you will have the whole venue to yourselves.  For groups with less than 70 guests you may wish to book only one space.  In this case other diners will be able to book tables in our other areas.

We offer options for both seated and standing events including welcome cocktails and canapés.  Seasonal menus will be offered depending on the time of year and type of event.  We can also cater for any allergies or dietary requirements.  Prices depend on the spaces required, the time of year and the day of the week.  We do not offer the whole venue for exclusive use on a Friday or Saturday evening for example.  Wine and drink packages can be discussed and selected with our dedicated Wine Team.  For more information please discuss with our Events Manager or better still, arrange a time to come and visit!

We offer a delightful selection of fresh desserts as part of our menus, but if you would like a traditional wedding cake we will happily put you in touch with a local supplier. This would be at a separate, additional cost.

We do not have a licence for wedding ceremonies but you can book your ceremony in Winchester or the surrounding area directly with Hampshire Registry Office.

We offer a lunch event option from 11am – 4pm, an evening event option from 6pm – 11.30pm and a whole day option from 11am – 11.30pm.  Last orders are at 11pm.

We want you to kick back, relax and enjoy your wedding to the fullest.  Given that we are situated in a residential area our licence does not permit live bands but we are happy for you to have a DJ or a playlist on our audio system, provided volume is kept to a moderate level.  This option applies to exclusive use of the venue only.

Absolutely!  Our Grade II listed Portico at our entrance is perfect for small group photographs.  Naturally we are happy for your photographer to snap away during the event too.

We are happy for you to bring your own suppliers but we simply ask that you keep us in the loop and provide us with contact details.  We would also ask for them to arrange a visit in advance, with our Events Manager, to understand our spaces and to meet our team ahead of the big day so all questions have been answered.  This ensures a smoother running on the day.

We do not permit confetti in any of our spaces but please chat to our team to discuss the options for decorations.

We are proud to offer a great selection of carefully sourced wines from all over the world, which we are confident will perfectly compliment your wedding reception from start to finish.  If you would like to bring some special bottles for toasts we can allow up to 12 bottles and corkage will be applied.

We do not have on-site parking but there are plenty of car parks in central Winchester.  The closest two, only a short walk away, are Colebrook Street (street level 8am – 6pm) and Chesil Street (24 hour multi storey).  There are also several Park and Ride facilities in the area and reliable taxi services.

As much as we love our four-legged friends, I’m afraid we are not able to accommodate pets on the premises!

Wedding insurance is something we strongly recommend to guarantee peace of mind for any eventuality!

Our team will look after all of your wedding reception requirements here at Inn the Park.  If you are looking for that extra level of support to coordinate the whole day, including suppliers and set up, we can offer a wedding planning service for an additional fee.  Just mention it to our team when making your enquiry.
